About the Author

Lori Schnakenberg grew up on a dairy farm in Pennsylvania, and she still calls it home, even though she doesn’t live there anymore. She earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Pensacola Christian College and had the privilege of working as a graduate assistant during that time. Lori taught high school English and a few other subjects over the years, and she loved teaching, caring about each and every student. But as life changes, so do plans. A change in direction brought a change in many things. Different jobs in various industries provided education and perspective. Meeting new people enriched her life with friendship and knowledge. And along the way, she wrote a book. Lori has been writing since college. She didn’t share her work with many, but when she did, people liked it. And people encouraged her to write a book. Finally, she listened. A story she had started a long time ago was brought back, expanded, given new life. And now she sends out this book, her child, as Anne Bradstreet referred to her own book, going out into the world to make its way. She hopes you like it.
